Side note: I had the pleasure of meeting this amazing woman and was so impressed by her story and attitude. Enjoy her motivational words!
BE BOLD, BE BEAUTIFUL AND BE YOU BY WALKING IN YOUR OWN SHOES!!! WEATHER IT BE RED BOTTOMS, LOUIS VUITTON, MICHAEL KORS, GUCCI, JESSICA SIMPSON, OR JIMMY CHOO’S ,JUST BE YOU!!!
So many times we get caught up in being so concerned with what everybody else has. Why don’t we take that time to get caught up in being concerned with what God has destined for us. If you are so busy fulfilling your destiny and doing what it takes to make you successful you have no time to be concerned about anybody else success. Don’t be concerned with why the others persons grass is so green because you have no idea how much their water bill is. That persons grass might be greener because it takes a lot of water to keep it that green. My question to you, can you afford the water bill? I say this to say to you, stay in your own lane. Because when it’s your turn it doesn’t matter if you’re in the back of the line. God will move you to the front. Invest time in making sure you are the best you that you could possibly be. When you invest time in yourself, you will notice that you have skills and capabilities that were even beyond your very own imagination.
While going through this process called life, you will have some mountain moments and some valley moments. Everyone’s journey is different but one thing I know for sure is that is no one is going to have a totally smooth journey to success. Know this for sure; there is no one size fits all in this life. Wear your own shoes! Always remember that your present situation is not your final destination!!!
But what makes the difference between us all is what we do when we are faced with obstacles. How do we handle those obstacles, how do we handle those circumstances, do we run from them or do we face them with faith and perseverance. Today I urge you to face your fears and doubt your doubts!! Eleanor Roosevelt wisely said, “you must do that thing your think you cannot do!” Only then, you will begin to understand your Self-Worth. You will know that you are the prize, and because you were created in the very image of God, you are the closest thing to perfect. Then and only then will you stop giving out discounts. Know your worth, have confidence in yourself and what you can do. I urge you to take a look at yourself inside and out and love yourself even with all your imperfections. There is no one perfect but all of us are perfectly imperfect. Just be the best you that you can be.
Personally, only 10% of the time did I actually feel like a success, mostly because I always looked at everyone else as if it were a race and wanted to know what place I was in. Then I realized it doesn’t matter as long as I made it to the finish line because that’s the goal. So don’t let yourself ever get down and out.
You can do this. I promise you can! Look fear in the face Never hide. Be a warrior. Strap on your shoes, walk on into your destiny and purpose, with your head held high, filled with confidence, chest puffed out knowing you are happy to be you and you are the best you possible!!! You got this!!
